1988 - Seven years later. Tom hired his first employee and added a second truck to keep up.

1991 - No more tiny storage unit! The team moved into a 1,250 sq. ft. warehouse with room to grow.

1999 - A new logo and branding gave the company a fresh look to match its growing reputation

2001 - Big milestone! The team moved into a 6,500 sq. ft. building with a 2,500 sq. ft. showroom that's still home today.

2007 - Fawley Overhead Door grew again by welcoming Professional Garage Door Service into the family.

2025 - After more than 40 years, Fawley Overhead Door is proud to be Southwest Michigan's go-to garage door team.

The Fawley Story

In 1981, a few local contractors and homeowners took a chance on a new business started by Tom Fawley – a garage door company. To make this new business a success, Tom worked six days a week to serve the community, many times coming home in the evening only to turn around again and go help get someone in, or out, of their garage. Through hard work and honest dealings, Tom’s business continued to grow and prosper over the next 44 years. To meet all his customers’ needs, he added installers, service technicians, and office staff, even bringing his own son on board to help grow the business.

As a family-owned and operated Portage, MI-based garage door company, Fawley Overhead Door continues Tom’s dedication to personal service and quality work. Our friendly and skilled technicians continue to work according to the core values of honesty, integrity, and commitment put in place by Tom in 1981.
