Commercial Garage Door Technician Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated Garage Door Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for installing and servicing commercial garage doors while working with a fully licensed and certified commercial technician. Since our company offers service as well as new installations and remodels, technicians will travel to a variety of job sites, and each day will be unique. You will deal with customers on a daily basis throughout our service areas, so you need to be good at providing excellent customer service. The ideal applicant is skilled with power tools and familiar with the fundamentals of electrical wiring and connections. Please apply right away if you think this is a fantastic opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections for larger jobs
  • Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices
  • Complete a thorough inspection, make a precise diagnosis of any problems with the present system, and give the customer their options
  • Attend meetings, follow all company policies, and participate in decision-making
  • Be on time for all appointments, and put forth your best effort to satisfy customers

Qualifications:

  • You must have excellent customer service skills for this position
  • Must have great communication, listening, and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to use a measuring tape along with math and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able to work with either power tools or hand tools
